Slow Cooked Beef Brisket that’s rich, tender, and perfect for cozy family meals. This crockpot brisket turns a tough cut into fall-apart comfort with minimal effort.
Ingredients
3–4 lb beef brisket
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups beef broth
2 tbsp tomato paste or tomato sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Optional: 1 tsp paprika or dried herbs
Instructions
1. Pat brisket dry and season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan and lightly sear brisket on both sides (optional but recommended).
3. Place onion and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
4. Set brisket on top and add beef broth and tomato paste.
5. Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours until fork-tender.
6. Let rest, then slice against the grain and spoon juices over the top.
7. Serve warm with your favorite comfort sides.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the brisket rest in its juices before slicing.
Leftovers taste even better the next day and reheat well.
Great for sandwiches, tacos, or bowls using shredded brisket.
