This Cozy Crockpot Mississippi Pot Roast Recipe is rich, tender, and made for comforting family dinners. A classic slow cooker beef dish that melts in your mouth with bold, savory flavor.
Ingredients
3–4 lb chuck roast
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 packet au jus gravy mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter
6–8 pepperoncini peppers
2 tbsp pepperoncini juice (optional)
1/4 cup water or beef broth (optional)
Instructions
1. Place the chuck roast directly into the slow cooker.
2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix evenly over the roast.
3. Add pepperoncini peppers around the meat and place butter on top.
4. Add optional juice or broth for extra sauce if desired.
5. Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours until fork-tender.
6. Shred beef in the slow cooker and stir into the sauce.
7. Serve warm with your favorite comfort sides.
Notes
For extra gravy, add more broth during cooking.
Add potatoes or carrots during the last 3 hours for a one-pot meal.
Leftovers store well in the fridge for 4 days or freezer for 2 months.
